QUESTION BANK

14 question formats. Every one in the Next Generation NCLEX.

The mistake many materials make is treating the NCLEX like an old multiple-choice exam. The Next Generation NCLEX measures clinical judgment with formats that require reading a chart, prioritizing, and deciding. Lumerly puts those formats at the center of practice from day one.

14 formats, every one in the Next Gen NCLEX. When you reach the exam, no format is a surprise.

01

Why this matters

The NGN launched on April 1, 2023 to measure clinical judgment with innovative item types. If you only practice multiple choice, you learn content but you don't train the interface and the decision-making that show up on the exam.

02

What you don't see right away

Each question carries pedagogical metadata: Test Plan category, body system, format, difficulty, estimated time, and reasoning objective. This keeps a session from being a random pile of items and makes it a sequence designed to calibrate skill.

03

How it shows up in your studying

You pick a session by Client Need, difficulty, and format. In a single week, you can practice bowtie, matrix, highlight, and cloze without leaving the flow. After answering, you see the rationale, an option-by-option breakdown, and partial scoring when the item allows it.

QUICK ANSWERS

Before you use it, understand what it solves.

Short answers to understand this resource's role within the Lumerly method.

Are the questions copied from American question banks?

No. The goal is to build original questions, aligned to the Test Plan and editorially reviewed.

Will I see every format right at the start?

Yes. The platform surfaces NGN formats early to reduce interface surprises on exam day.

Does the bank already have thousands of questions?

The bank grows in reviewed batches, without inflating the count to look bigger. The focus is quality, NGN coverage, and alignment to the Test Plan.

Who reviews the content?

Original questions are editorially reviewed, and the content is built in partnership with the Missão RN specialists, Brazilian nurses licensed in the US who also sign the video explanations inside the rationales.
